WHO WE ARE
Spectrum Theatre is an independent student-run theatre group at the University of Virginia. Our organization is dedicated to producing influential theatre that stimulates conversation about important issues. We put on two productions per semester: a small-scale studio show and a mainstage production. Each show consists of an artistic staff, technical crew, and a pit orchestra (for musicals) that are appointed after the executive board chooses a director and his or her proposed production. If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out to us! There is truly something for everyone in this organization. Students with all levels of experience are encouraged to join.
Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.
